All Horses should have Base line records!
What is a Base Line Record?

Picture

A Base Line Record is a Theromgraphic scan of your horse, when everything is fine and your horse is normal, it is used for comparison if your horse is ever scanned due to an injury or hidden problem. William F James Thermal Imaging provides online storage of all your Thermographic pictures allowing easy access to compare your Base Line Record pictures to the new thermal scans taken. We recommend yearly or even bi yearly Base Line scans of your horse, due to the constant change that occurs in all horses!

Levels of Base Line Records:

Basic:

The Basic "Base Line Record" is the simplest of the base line forms, it provides the least amount of detail, taking wide shots to encompass the entire horse, four pictures are taken. Front, Left, Right, Rear.

Standard:

The Standard "Base Line Record" is the much more thorough scan than the basic providing much more detail, taking both wide and close in shots of the pertinent areas of the horse, including legs, hooves, neck, and the top of the back.

Detailed:

The Detail Lever of the "Base Line Records" is the most detailed of the three, providing the ultimate detailing of your horse, taking inside and out side of all legs, hooves, back, front, rear, sides, neck, face!

Why should I get a base line on my horse?

My horse just isn't right and i cant figure out what is wrong with him/her, those are the days we all wish our horse could speak and tell us where it hurts or someone invents the tricorder (a medical scanner that can tell you exactly whats wrong with your horse) until then we have to investigate through tests, to determine whats the matter with your horse, every time we run a test with a tool, we get a clue and move one step closer to determining whats wrong with your horse. Thermography and the Thermographic Camera is a new tool that gives us a clue so large that even Sherlock Holmes would be jealous!

Some times the Clue we gain from the camera is easy to see, but more often than not, the best way to determine the clue is with a picture of your horse before the mystery problem even existed. That way we can compare the pictures and determine where the change of heat is located, usually a change in heat is a sheer sign of inflammation or lack there of. With out records of your horse before the problem became apparent it is impossible to tell exactly where change in heat has occurred, all the picture will tell you is where the current heat is in your horse at the present, now this can be enough in some cases to determine where problematic inflammation is occurring, but since a simple two degree change in a horse may indicate a problem, keeping a yearly or even bi yearly update of your horse can save you heart ache, money, and time solving the mystery of your horse.
